John Heibeck Intro Blog
Hello! My name is John Heibeck (I'll probably show up as Jack on Brightspace/Email; either name works). I was born on February 20, 2006. I enjoy reading, writing, and watching old movies. I'm legally tied for a world record (no, I will not clarify what record I'm tied for). Other than that, there's not too much to know about me.
A book I recently read that I would highly recommend is Penpal by Dathan Auerbach. The book is about the narrator recalling events from his childhood pertaining to his stalker. It's one of the few horror books I've read that really, truly terrifies me.

Here's a link to an emulator for The Oregon Trail. It's helped me through many a boring day in the past.
Finally, below is a video by YouTuber hbomberguy about the origins of the anit-vax movement. It's a very interesting watch if you have the time.

Hi John,
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see a familiar face in class! What's your favorite old movie?
One day, I will hear about which world record you are tied for.
Hi John, So awesome that we have another class together! That's so cool that you're tied to a world record, hopefully one day you'll share that lol. I have never heard of the book penpal and will definitely have to take a look into it, thank you for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteHi John, so cool that you're tied for a world record! I love horror, so I'll have to check that book out, thanks for the recommendation. I also like playing Oregan Trail on a boring day lol.
ReplyDeleteHi John,
ReplyDeleteI love horror so I'll definitely have to check out that book. What other horror books would you recommend?
Hey John, I also like to watch old movies, particularly ones pertaining to the mob. They just randomly popped up on my "you might like" sections of all my streaming services so I just watched a bunch of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, John. The video is amusing (I watched a few minutes out of curiosity). My partner purchased a tabletop version of Oregon Trail that we've played a few times. We always die! We are highly amused by it.
