Audrey Donnell - Introduction Blog
| Me in NYC over break! |
Hi everyone! My name is Audrey Donnell and I'm a junior at Bloomsburg University where I'm studying English - Creative Writing and minoring in Emergent Media. I like to play video games, read and write, go shopping, spend time with friends, listen to music, and consume any and all types of media. I'm an only child, and I did competitive cheerleading at the high school and All Star level in middle and high school. I like pretty much any music, and listen to a wide range of genres like pop, EDM, R&B, etc.
My favorite book of all time is The Lord of The Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, and I highly recommend it. I believe it's one of the best novels of all time, and definitely the best fantasy novel of all time (it's popular for a reason)! One website I love is Canva. It's a free graphic design website that's very helpful for school and outside projects! I use it every time I need to make a presentation for a class, and I also use it to create flyers and social media posts for my sorority. I have the pro subscription but the free version is also amazing! A video I love and recommend is this video essay on YouTube about one of my favorite TV shows, Avatar the Last Airbender. In my opinion, the show has some of the most fleshed out character arcs I've seen on TV, done in just one season. It's a show meant for all ages, but was primarily made for children, and left a very positive influence on me in my childhood. The video essay goes into detail about a specific character (my personal favorite) and their development. Thanks for reading!
Hi Audrey, I listen to a pretty wide variety of music too! Who are some of your favorite artists? Competitive cheerleading sounds fun!! Video essays on YouTube are one of my favorite things to watch.
ReplyDeletePleasure to meet you, Audrey! I've read The Hobbit, but I never got around to LOTR for some reason. I'll have to get on that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Audrey. I'm curious who turned you onto Tolkien. It's been a long time since I've read his books, but as a medievalist, I'm onboard with all medieval narratives!
