Hi everyone, my name is Matthew Buchman, and I am a secondary education English major. I am from Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and love to stay active. I am a junior here at Bloomsburg University and am a part of the football team. A recent book that I have re-read is The Great Gatsby. really enjoy this book because of the details and pain you can truly feel from the characters. You feel the love and sense of attachment that stays and goes throughout the story. Here is a hyperlink to a website I love called YouTube https://www.youtube.com/. The reason I love this website is that I enjoy watching educational videos. You can find ways to learn about anything on YouTube. Some videos are more educational than others; however, all learning is good learning. A video that I love and would recommend is a motivational video from Tom Brady. This video reflects on how you may be overlooked in life, but that does not mean you should quit. You will eventually get an opportunity, and when you do, you need to make the best of that chance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnS6sFIs5Tg
Introduction Blog
My name is Alexandria Rose, and I am 24-years-old. My majors are American Sign Language Interpreting and English. I recently graduated with my first degree in Publishing for Writers. When I was 17, I self-published my first poetry book. Since I was a little girl, writing has been my passion. A book that I love and would recommend to others is Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan. This novel focuses on bridging the gap in communication. A website that I love is from Bill Vicars. He has numerous free resources available for anyone interested in learning American Sign Language. This website specifically assists with practicing fingerspelling. https://asl.ms/ Something I recommend is learning how to play the guitar to introduce yourself!
Hi Matt! Its nice to hear about how you enjoyed reading The Great Gatsby, it is definitely a good one to read. I also completely agree that all learning is good learning, and use youtube to help me when I need to learn something quick. So excited to learn more about you through out the semester!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Matt. 'The Great Gatsby' is a classic, and it has generated some solid adaptations. I enjoyed the DiCaprio film, but I wasn't a big fan of the Broadway musical, which I felt lost some of that tension you speak about.
