Tristan Greiner

My name is Tristan Greiner and I am from Mifflinburg Pennsylvania and currently majoring in Secondary English and Spanish at Bloomsburg University. In my free time I really like to ski, travel, tutor, study foreign languages, and read. One book that I read recently that I really enjoyed was The alchemist by written by Paulo Coelho, it's about a Shepards journey in pursuit to find treasure from his reoccuring dream. I highly recommend giving this book a read as it's a very reflective book that reminds you to trust your path in life.

One website that I often use is Google Earth. One of my biggest passions is traveling and learning about other countries and the massive world we live in. Traditional two dimension maps skew the sizes of countries and areas of the world so that is why I much prefer using google earth, it is also very easy to navigate. This website has helped me learn the locations of so many different cities and landmarks around the world and I also use it to plan my travels!

One video that I highly recommend watching is 5 best languages to learn in 2026. One of the best things that I have ever done was putting time and dedication into learning Spanish. I have been able to connect with so many new people from around the world and I lived abroad in Dominican Republic for six months. It has also opened up a lot of job opportunities and inspired me to become a Language teacher, and I am currently learning Portuguese as my third language. The video I linked is from a world renown author on language learning and he gives his advice on which languages he recommend people learning this year, I think this would be a great new years resolution!

  1. Hi Tristain,

I also find studying foreign languages interesting. I have studied German all my years in high school and I studied some Japanese in the past. I would really love to continue that as well as study Spanish someday. It is also nice to see someone else from the area. I am from Selinsgrove and it is rare to hear people say that they are from towns nearby and familiar.

  2. Hi Tristan, I also love skiing in my free time! Travel is one of my biggest goals and I've been looking for an excuse to start learning Spanish again. I think it's great that you've started learning a third language, that's really interesting!

  3. Hey Tristan, I find the study of foreign languages pretty cool, as I originally wanted to teach abroad until about a year ago. Plans changed, but I think learning another language would still be a fun side task for me. I'm not really a big fan of Skiing, I myself am a snowboarder, but my parents and brother prefer skiing.

  5. Thanks for sharing, Tristan. I admire your pursuit of languages and travel. I enjoy traveling myself, and I'm always thinking about what location I'm going to visit next. I'm already looking at a trip to Scotland for summer 2027, where I will also likely participate in a conference.
